    You Might Be a Fascist

    You Might Be a Fascist

I posted the educational "You Might Be A Moonbat" to help the reader determine if they are, in fact, a Raving Moonbat.  In our continuing efforts to enlighten, we shall now look at how you might determine if you are a Fascist, at least by the Lefty's definition.

If you vote Republican, you are a Fascist.

If you are a Christian, you are a Fascist.

If you are a member of law enforcement, you are a Fascist.

If you are a member of the military, you are a Fascist.

If you think existing laws should be either enforced equally to all or changed but never ignored depending on the situation, you are a Fascist and probably a Racist.  (I considered doing a test titled "You Might Be A Racist", but it would look pretty much the same as this one with "racist" replacing "fascist".)

If you are Caucasian, you're under suspicion of being a Fascist.  Watch it.

    Wasn't that easy?

The accusation of fascism is very adolescent.  I am ashamed to admit that once during my teenage stupidity and ignorance I once snapped a "Seig Heil!" to my mother, who grew up recycling steel cans to help defeat the very monsters that invented that particular salute, so I wouldn’t have to grow up doing it.  She said, "Don't do that, you don't know what it means."  She was so very, very right.

Children use that accusation in two circumstances: an authority figure either makes them do something they don't want to do, or won't let them do something they do want to do.  There is no difference between my accusing my mother of being a Fascist and the Left-wingers accusing the current administration of the same.  Anyone one past the age of 18 that makes that accusation is stuck in adolescence, and on "stupid".

I am not stuck on stupid.  I grew up and learned what it means.  And I am right when I say those spitting the word "fascist" now don't know what it means, either.  I'd like to see kids live for a year under real conditions you like to keep saying this country is now.  Do you think you'd be able to march in the streets carrying the kinds of signs we've seen in the last few years, making posts online like those at the DU, and have the leaders of you party hold mock impeachment hearings on inauguration day under a fascist regime?

At the core of the Left is at best a very deep distrust of law enforcement, open hatred of the military, distain for this country's dominate religion, and hot resentment against Republicans when in office because they are all authorities with which they do not agree.  All of those groups have done injustice from time to time, none are perfect.  I fully agree with them that no one should ever lock-step along with authorities unquestioningly.  But the law must be obeyed or we have no society, and when you've broken it, don't whine when the Man comes down on you.  When politicians do things you don't like, work to get them unelected, live with it, or move someplace that suits you better.  When a cop tells you to assume the position, Rodney, you assume it.  When a vote by majority goes against you, try to convince more people that you're right and try again.

All that is based on the faith that the system works.  Elections and courts are fair.  Everyone's legal rights are ensured.  If you don't believe those things, either show me proof that they aren't or see my post entitled "You Might Be A Moonbat".  Here's a sample: if you think Bush is a Fascist, you're either a Moonbat or an ignorant teenager.  If you're under 20, there's still hope for you.
